As this trip was a long one, i’ll be writing this blog in itinerary type so as to save you from an augmented reading
Day 1 : From Cochin Airport we headed straight to Allepey
Here we experienced the backwater lifestyle of Kerala. The day long journey in the beautiful backwaters of Kerala in boat house is the only way to explore what otherwise seems more like a poet’s version.
We didn’t prefer staying overnight in boathouse so we came back to KOCHI

Day 2: From Kochi to Munnar
Enjoyed the panoramic view of the green carpets of tea plantations. On the way you can visit the following places :
- Adimali (Wholesale Place for Spices & Cardamom)
- Chheeyapara / Valara Waterfalls.
- Pallivasal.
- Attukal Waterfalls.

Day 3: Munnar
Morning sightseeing trip of Munnar including the following destinations :
- Mattupetty Dam.
- Echo Point.

Day 4: Thekkady
Onarrival at Thekkady, Here you will be able to see a large variety of wildlfe, which includes wild elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar and different species of birds, can also be spotted.Some of the sightseeing points / activities are as listed below :

- Elephant Ride.
- Jeep Safari
- Kalaripayattu Show

Day 5: Thekkady
After breakfast we proceed to sight tour which covers

Day 6: Madurai
Madurai is one of the oldest and greatest temple town of India. Madurai was the seat of power of the ancient Pandyan Empire of Tamilakam in the early 3rd century BC, Megasthenes visited Madurai. Later many people from Rome and Greece and from many countries visited Madurai and established trade with the Pandya kings. Madurai is the second largest city in Tamil Nadu, is known for its world renowned Meenakshi Temple.
We included Madurai specially for the Meenakshi Temple.

Day 7: Rameshwaram
Rameswaram is home to Ramanathaswamy Shiva temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples of Lord Shiva.
Also visited the Dhanushkodi (Ram Setu)
Srilanka is only 30km from here.

Day 8: Kankyakumari
We visited Swami Vivekandha Rock and saw the sunset there.

Day 9: Poovar
From kanyakumari to Poovar is a magnificent drive through beautiful countryside, coconut grooves and paddy fields.
Poovar’s beach can be compared to any of the finest beaches in the world. The blue water of the Arabian sea, miles and miles of the fine sand, the entire area dotted with stately palms, an ideal located to sun bathe in the silver sand.
Took Poovar Island tour which takes around 2 to 2.5 hours

Visited Padmanabha Swami Temple. And Kovalam Beach.
Also spent some quality at hotel beside the pool.
Day 11: Trivandrum to Home
We had flight from Trivandrum to surat.
