Apart from being the only CARBON NEGATIVE country in the world, it is also considered as the happiest country of Asia and one of the happiest country in the world. Bhutan is famous as the only country in the world to rank Gyalyong Gakid Palzom or Gross National Happiness (GNH) above GDP.
Also Bhutan has gorgeous landscapes, beautiful mountain ranges, rich ancient culture and traditional lifestyle. Historically Bhutan is also know as Druk Yul, translated as the land of thunder dragon.
So I think this much of eulogize is enough to convince how must visit this place is.
We entered Bhutan by road from Bagdogra (India) to Phuentsholing (Bhutan)
Indian nationals don’t need Visa but after reaching Phuentsholing you can obtain the free “Entry Permit” from Regional Immigration Office, Bhutan or if you are travelling by air than you can get the Entry Permit at the Paro International Airport.

1. Tashichho Dzong

2. Buddha Dordenma
Atop a hill in Thimphu, the capital and largest city of Bhutan, is a massive, golden Buddha sitting atop a gilded meditation hall. But the monument holds a secret Unknown to many people viewing the statue, they aren’t actually looking at one Buddha, they’re looking at 1,25,000 of them!
Inside this 169 feet gigantic Buddha Dordenma statue are 1,25,000 miniature Buddhas ranging from 8 to 12 inches tall. This means that in Thimphu, which has a population of around 100,000, there are more Buddhas than there are human beings! How cool is that!
3. Walking Buddha Statue (45feet tall)
It was built by the 4th king of Bhutan for his elder son(current king) in 2006 when he stepped down from the throne to make way for his son !
It is positioned in the middle of Changlimithang ground and Wangchu River.

While travelling from Thimpu to Punakha you come across this 108 memorial chortens or stupas known as “Druk Wangyal Chortens” which was built by Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk, the eldest Queen Mother for the Bhutanese soldiers who were killed in the 2003.
